Artisan Crafted
In 1897, the apron sink was introduced by Shaws of Lancashire, England. Today, every Shaws Fireclay Sink is still hand poured, shaped and stamped with the name of the very artisan who crafted it.

Cleaning
The Gallery by Shaws® artwork finish is softer than the glaze found on solid-colored sinks, thus more care is necessary in cleaning the front apron of the sink. Metallic finishes are comprised of real platinum or gold. We recommend cleaning the sink gently with a soft sponge or cloth and a non-abrasive soap solution. Using abrasives or abrasive pads may harm the delicate surface of the decorative art. To avoid water spotting, wipe down the sink after use. Waxing the interior only will encourage draining.
Maintaining
Astonish cleaner may only be used on the inner surfaces of Gallery by Shaws® sinks if a mark or scuff needs to be removed. Using any abrasive cleaner on the front apron of the sink will void the 2-year exterior decorative artwork warranty. In the rare instance of a chip on the interior of the sink, color-matched repair kits are available through your local House of Rohl dealer.
