Care & Cleaning

AUTHENTIC LUXURY

The finishing touch on every ROHL Collection is its exquisite surface.

Great care has been taken to ensure the final step in the manufacturing - whether it is a sink, faucet, fitting or an accessory - delivers perfection. Like any quality item, no matter how durable, care should be taken when cleaning and maintaining these finishes.

FIRECLAY SINKS (ALLIA)

Description of Finish

Fireclay sinks are made of a unique clay capable of being fired at extremely high temperatures. These high temperatures cause the clay and glaze to fuse together, virtually creating an entirely new form. This clay is found in limited regions around the world, making true fireclay sinks some of the most durable sink options. Resistant to acid, alkali, scratches and impact, many fireclay sinks outlive the very spaces for which they were created.

Maintaining

Astonish cleaner may be used should a mark or scuff need to be removed. While no coloured sink of any kind is impervious to damage, fireclay resists chips, scratches and stains better than other materials. In the rare instance of a chip, colour-matched repair kits are available through your local House of Rohl dealer.

Outside Use

ROHL® products may be used outside. However, we do not offer a warranty. Use these tips for a successful installation. Polished Chrome is the most durable of ROHL finishes and is the best finish for outside installations. Pat dry after use to avoid hard water spots. If minerals or salt are accumulating on the fixture, clean by applying a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar, then pat dry. Do not soak the fixture in the vinegar solution or allow the vinegar solution to soak on the finish. Spray weekly with fresh water, wipe dry and apply Flitz Wax or Bruno’s Faucet Wax to avoid hard water spotting. If in freezing temperatures, winterize fixtures by removing cartridges, drain all water or store fixtures indoors.

Description of Finish

ROHL Stainless Steel is a commercial grade non-corrosive 18/10 type 304 alloy produced in 16 gauge. This tough material is used in residential and commercial environments.

Warranty

Limited lifetime warranty

Cleaning

Use cleaning products specifically designed for Stainless Steel, such as ROHL RSSCleaner Cream. Be sure products are cream based and do not contain solid particles that may scratch the material. Abrasive products are not recommended. Use of harsh chemicals will void the warranty.

Maintaining

Wash sink daily with mild dish soap and water. Thoroughly rinse and dry after use. Wash with warm water and 10-15% vinegar solution to remove oily substances. Rinse and dry. Be sure to avoid strikes, dropping heavy objects and sharp utensils that can scratch the finish. Avoid contact with chemicals, metal products and metal brushes. Do not leave tomato residue, milk or coffee on the surface for extended periods. Prolonged contact with any of the noted substances may start an electromagnetic corrosive attack.
