Description of Finish
Polished Nickel is a durable Physical Vapor Depostion (PVD) process that is harder and more corrosion resistant than coatings from a galvanic process. The coating has a high impact strength, excellent abrasion resistance and is very durable. Polished nickel has a warm tone that tends to the warmer side of the color spectrum. This stable finish does not tarnish. (PVD)

Cleaning
To preserve the look of your product, it should be cleaned with a mild soap, rinsed with clear water and dried with a soft cloth. For best care, wipe dry after use. To avoid water spotting, wax regularly. Do not use products with abrasives, ammonia, bleach or alcohol. Important: Do not use abrasive, irritant or corrosive products (such as detergents or other products containing ammonia).
Maintaining
Always rinse and/or clean the faucets after having sprayed cleaning products onto other surrounding surfaces, including mirrors and ceramic tiles. PVD or Physical Vapor Deposition is a process of coating a surface with a durable coating that is very strong and resists chemicals and abrasion. While very durable, do not use abrasives, ammonia, bleach or alcohol for cleaning.
Outside Use
Riobel® products may be used outside; However, when installed outside, the warranty is no longer offered. Finishes with PVD will wear well in most conditions, but UV sunlight, rain, snow, and freezing weather can compromise the finish. If possible, avoid direct sunlight. If in freezing temperatures, winterize fixtures by removing cartridges, drain all water or store fixtures indoors. Pat dry after use to avoid hard water spots. A spray wax on vertical surfaces is recommended. If minerals or salt are accumulating on the fixture, clean by applying a 50/50 solution of water and white vinegar, then pat dry. Do not soak the fixture in the vinegar solution or allow the vinegar solution to soak on the finish. Spray weekly with fresh water, wipe dry and apply Flitz Wax or Bruno’s Faucet Wax to avoid hard water spotting. Do not use products with abrasives, ammonia, bleach or alcohol. Important: Do not use abrasive, irritant or corrosive products (such as detergents or other products containing ammonia).
